Posted by on Friday, 30 September, 2011

Search engine optimization is a strategy which is used by many internet marketers to get their blogs or websites noticed. This tactic has proven to one of the best ways to make money online for some, while others still need to learn the mechanics of this tool.

With search engine optimization, the site is developed to give it what is called a “web presence”. In doing this the articles which are placed on the site are optimized so that they can be picked up by search engines by a specific word or phrase. This happens when someone goes on a search engine and types in that word or phrase and the different sites are shown. In order to have your site on the top of that list, it has to be search engine optimized, or the labels have to be worded to match the term or word which was searched, or could possibly be searched.

Ways To Make Money Online With Search Engine OptimizationSearch engine optimization has become one of the best and most effectively used ways to make money online for internet users and marketers. In promoting a business, a product or a service, you want your website or blog to appear at the top of the list, because let’s face it, not many people will go down the list clicking until they find what they are looking for, and especially if your internet is slow. So the site which normally comes up at the top of the list will get first preference, thus enabling the site developers and owners to make money from that search or on the flip side, enable web surfers to effectively find what they are looking for.

Many online marketers will opt for search engine optimization as it is an interesting, cost effective way to get your blog or site out there in cyber space to promote your business and services. Not all people are able to use search engine optimization in this way, so for the others, it is just a way for them to try to make money online, and yet for others a way in which to find stuff on the internet.

Web surfers are always searching in search engines, and many times what you search for is not what you end up viewing. In addition to making your blog or site search engine optimized, you also need to make it interesting, funny or eye-catching. Every one loves an interesting, funny or eye-catching article or post.

Search engine optimization has been making waves on the internet as the specific keywords which are being searched are proving to be very effective and productive for some as a way to make money online. It is also used to promote the sites to create backlinks; this in turn provides a way for other internet marketers to benefit from one persons site activity or search.

There are different ways to search for sites on the internet. There are also links on each site which takes visitors back to other sites when clicked on, so if the site is not picked up on the search engine, then it is picked up through the link on another site.

Does Article Marketing Still Work For Google Page Rank?

Posted by on Thursday, 22 September, 2011

SEO tactics are always shifting and changing as Google’s continued quest to improve its algorithm also grows and changes. For those of us that want to stay on top of ways to get that Google page rank up for our sites, it is important to really understand what Google has to say about important issues that can very well end up affecting us and our site’s position in the search engines.

Right now, a lot of sites are doing article marketing in a big way and it turns out, Google is not terribly impressed with this.

The bad news is, Google ranking used to be able to be gained by blasting out a lot of articles that basically shared the same anchor texts. Now, Google’s spokesmen are saying that this is not a “big favorite” for the company because they feel that content farms, as they are called, simply do not add value to the web. Because Google values itself as a curator of quality for the world, it is not pleased with the duplicate content that it sees spread out over the web.

While, in reality, Google Page Rank can and is obtained through article marketing, the term may have been sullied at this point. The problem comes from the fact that massive players got involved and cranked out large quantities of poorly written, barely legible articles and rose to the top. They were able to get top Google rankings for some terrible content. That, in turn, caused the concept of article marketing to be mistaken for what these large power sites were doing.

The key difference for anyone here in the world of SEO is going to boil down to common sense. There are articles used to build links and there are those of incredibly high quality that are used to get incoming links, a tactic known as link baiting. Real Google Page Rank is quite possibly always going to come from ‘playing the SEO game’, no matter what Google’s PR folks might say, and also from having the content Google has stated it prefers for the users it is serving. You will note that Google rank still gets passed, even from relatively low level sites in many cases. After all, not every site is going to be a page one for its chosen keywords, there are only so many positions.

Great content and social media marketing, says Google, is going to encourage those organic links that really get some serious Google Page Rank flowing your site’s way. While that certainly sounds brilliant in marketing outreach speeches, the reality is that is a bit of an unrealistic expectation. If your site is not a charming, funny or “cool” topic or product, then what? There may be, for example, fewer folks blogging about the type of feminine hygiene products or industrial drill bits than blogging about designer shoes and local restaurants, but you still have to market what you have.

In the end, a mixed strategy is the way to go for SEO, which includes article marketing and any other relevant approach you choose. While we don’t want to spam the web, it would be unwise to invest only in the more glamorous choices of site promotion that have not yet proven to have the same results that old school SEO and article marketing are still getting for sites in Google’s search results. The key here is to play it smart, stay sensible and evolve your game.

A sensible mixed strategy is key. Continue with high quality article marketing campaigns along with a solid social media marketing strategy like the one offered by SYNND.

Improving Your Website Rankings Is One Of The Best Ways To Make Money Online

Posted by on Monday, 19 September, 2011

Website rankings are always important if you are looking for ways to make money online. Everyone wants to make sure that their site makes it to the top. Unfortunately, since there are literally an endless number of websites all over the web, only a few will make it to the front page. Most people are under the assumption that in order to make it to the first couple of pages of Google or other popular search engine, a website must be optimized with keywords. The good news is that this isn’t always so.

There are several other factors that contribute to a site’s search engine success. More than anything, it’s about marketing. It’s true that some websites are not optimized at all and are still able to pop up in the search results. One of the best ways to ensure that your site is seen is by using back links. Back links will be displayed on various websites ultimately link back to your site. You can create the back links yourself or hire a professional, either way, back links are very effective.

Another way that unoptimized sites achieve high website rankings is through article marketing. People search for information on the web by looking it up in article directories, which ultimately contain links to websites, helping online entrepreneurs and companies gain more traffic. The more articles, the better. With this method, it’s best to write at least a batch of 2 to 3 articles per week, submit them to various directories, and include links throughout the article.

Perhaps one of the most common reasons why certain websites achieve higher website rankings than those that are optimized for the search engines is due to overall content and popularity. When a site provides information that is highly useful to the user, the word will spread and the traffic will increase. Creating this social proof is one of the most powerful ways to make money online.

Video marketing is yet another way that websites attain a high level of traffic. Video marketing is free and easy to do, requiring at very least a few videos per week. If the video goes viral, even more traffic is acquired. Lots of SEO services specialize in video marketing to help sites increase traffic and sales.

Some people market solely through their blogs. As long as the blogs are attractive, helpful, and informative, they usually do well. However, blogs must be marketed by using many of the same above-mentioned methods including back links, videos, and articles.

Ultimately, the more marketing methods a person utilizes, the better the results will be. As long as the other marketing methods are supported by popular sites (such as popular article-marketing sites such as Ezinearticles and Articlebase), blog marketing sites (such as blogative), and popular video marketing websites (such as YouTube), success is easily achieved.

As you can see, you don’t necessarily need to use keywords (although they can help), as the use of keyword optimization is not the only way to attain good website rankings and succeed with one of the best ways to make money online.

Keep in mind that when you are looking for ways to make money online, no matter what idea you come up with, it is still essential that you treat that idea as any other business, which means that you would still need to put in a lot of hours and dedication. By having this approach from the day you start your online business, you will have a better chance of succeeding online.

One of the most effective ways to make money online for new Internet marketers is by experimenting with affiliate marketing. Important Factors To Improve Website Rankings

Posted by on Friday, 16 September, 2011

There are many ways to generate good quality traffic, such as using pay per click, article marketing, banner advertising, and organic searches from the major search engines. Out of all of these methods, organic search traffic tends to bring the best quality traffic in high numbers to your website. However, in order to achieve this, it is essential that your website rankings are at least within the top ten results of the major search engines. More importantly, you want to make sure that your Google rank is very high, as this is where most of the traffic will be coming from.

In order to get good website rankings, there are quite a few factors that you need to keep in mind when developing your website and content. First of all, you will want to know exactly what keywords that you will be looking to rank for, as this in turn will dictate the type of traffic that will come to your site.

Once you know the keywords you will be using, it is important to insert them in the title of your site as well as throughout the body, without unintentionally spamming your content with your chosen key-phrases. It is also helpful to include your keywords in your H1, H2, and H3 tags, as well as in your meta-tags. By doing so, you are helping the search engines to have a better understanding of what your site is about, thus allowing them to give more importance to those keywords. This in turn will help a lot in getting better web rankings for those particular keywords.

Once you have completely developed your site and content, the next step is to get as many backlinks as possible to your website. However, when doing so, it is important that the anchor text within these backlinks contain the keywords that you are looking to rank for. It is also important that you build your links up in a natural way so that the major search engines do not penalize you for trying to manipulate their algorithms. Now while all of the points mentioned above do play a major role in helping you to get decent website rankings, there are far more factors that need to be considered.

Therefore, it is important that you always keep yourself up-to-date with the latest search engine news, as this will ensure that you follow the rules that have been stipulated by the search engines, which in turn will ensure that your site continues to rank well indefinitely.

Top 5 SEO Myths

Posted by on Sunday, 4 September, 2011

Those that publish a website know the website needs to rank high in Google in order for it to experience much visitor traffic. Even novice website publishers realize that there is a clear need to take part in Google SEO to increase website rankings.

In order to make sure SEO is performed correctly, many will search throughout the internet for tips and advice on how to go about the process the right way. While this is a noble path to take it has one common problem associated with it: not all the info out there is accurate. In fact, there are tons of myths flying around the internet. What are some of these common myths? The following are among the most egregious:

Myth #1 – Meta tags will greatly boost your rankings: Many SEO experts will tell you that meta tags will help you get top rankings. It would not be inaccurate to say meta tags help. However, the value of meta tags is more than a bit overrated. There are websites that are ranked fairly high in the search engines that do not even employ meta tags. So, while it would not hurt to use meta tags, they are not completely necessary for SEO success.

Myth #2 -  URLs should end in dot com: How many times have you heard that URLs should end in dot com? Honestly, how your URL ends is irrelevant. In fact, this may be the least consequential of all things that the search engines take into consideration when ranking your website. Don’t worry about URLs beyond their length.

Myth #3 – You need to update your content daily: You do not need to update content daily in order for Google to consider your site to be valid. It is certainly true that updating your site keeps Google from considering your site has gone dead. But, you most definitely do not need to update the site on a daily basis to experience positive results.

Myth #4 – The higher your Google PR is the higher your site will be placed in the search engines: If your Google PR (page rank) is high, your site will place high in the search engines. Well, maybe and maybe not. There is no pure guarantee that the page rank you hold will automatically yield any particular ranking in the search engines. Look at it this way: millions of websites will fall under the category of PR0 to PPR7 (PR8 and above would be very tough for the average website to reach) and that means not all of them can automatically be ranked at a certain level. PR has much value but its value is also limited.

Myth #5 – A high keyword density will automatically lead to great Google rankings: Nothing is automatic in the world of Google search engine rankings, including the myth that a high keyword density will automatically lead to great search engine rankings. Keyword density is important. Too little in terms of keyword density will undermine the ability for the search engine robots to pick up on the subject of your website. So, 3% or 4% keyword density would be worth pursuing. But, you will not see any automatic results deriving from employing a particular keyword density strategy.

Of course, the varied Google SEO myths could go on and on. In order to be sure you do not fall victim to the common myths of search engine optimization, you will need to perfect proper research into quality online resources that present legitimate information that is free of inaccuracies and misrepresentations.
